Rewilding is moving forward around the world, and next 20 March, the World Rewilding Day will be celebrated with the theme #ChooseOurFuture, which speaks about a reality we all share: what we allow nature to do today will determine how ecosystems function tomorrow.
Rewilding Spain will join the World Rewilding Day with various activities, including the online event “Success stories in rewilding”, with which we will discover inspiring successful cases that demonstrate how rewilding is advancing around the world, bringing hope to the environmental crises. The event will be held on Thursday 19 March from 4pm to 5pm with the following programme.
– Towards a new standard in nature conservation – Mara Zamora, General Manager of Rewilding Spain.
– Successful examples of rewilding around the world – Jordi Palau, Head of Rewilding at Rewilding Spain and author of the book “Rewilding Iberia: Exploring the potential of rewilding in Spain”.
– Rewilding and opportunities for economic revitalisation – Pablo Schapira, Team Leader of Rewilding Spain in the Iberian Highlands.
