Rewilding Spain and Wilderway have organised two events to connect companies that want to advance their commitment to sustainability with projects that are already offering real investment options in nature and the future. An opportunity to combine business profitability with nature restoration.

A total of 100 people participated in one of these two events, held in Madrid and Valencia, which focused on facilitating working meetings between companies and five pioneering certified nature restoration projects with experience in the voluntary carbon market.

Following a presentation by the general manager of Rewilding Spain, Mara Zamora, and an introduction to nature credits by Basilio Rodríguez, representatives of the companies working in actual restoration projects offered an overview of the current status of these pioneering works.
Afterwards, the attending companies held face-to-face meetings with these representatives from Wilderway, Dendron, Fundación Global Nature, Wild Square and Sèlvans to explore different opportunities and forms of collaboration that could contribute to the development of their sustainability strategies. This exchange is a major step towards bringing together companies willing to lead a new relationship between the economy and nature restoration.
The two editions of ‘Investing in the wild’ event have been organised within the framework of the Bosque Innova project, which is supported by Fundación Biodiversidad, under the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge as part of the Recovery Plan (PRTR) funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
