Fancy sharing your visual talent when it comes to nature? Submissions are now open for nature lovers to participate in the Nature Photography Contest ‘Springtime in the Iberian Highlands’. Rewilding Spain is organising this contest with the aim of disseminating the unique natural values of this wonderful landscape.

Nature photography lovers have a new reason to visit the Iberian Highlands over the coming months. It’s not only that they will enjoy the wild beauty of the region in the blooming season, but also that they’ll have the chance to take the best images to take part in the Nature Photography Contest ‘Springtime in the Iberian Highlands’, organised by Rewilding Spain.
The aim of the competition is to disseminate the natural, scenic and cultural values of this landscape, that will reach a not-to-miss peak of life during the spring season in the whole variety of ecosystems present in the region.
The Nature Photography Contest ‘Sprintime in the Iberian Highlands’ is open to professional and amateur photographers and will award prizes for the best images taken from 20 of March until 20 of June 2026, in any location of Señorío de Molina-Alto Tajo (Guadalajara province), Serranía de Cuenca (Cuenca province) and Montes Universales-Sierra de Albarracín (Teruel province) areas.
Pictures will be awarded in three categories: Fauna, Plants and Fungi, and Landscape. For each of these there will be a prize of €400 and two runners-up prizes of €100 each. There will also be one runners-up prize of €200 for a young photographer (up to 25 years old).
For this edition of the competition, Rewilding Spain has partnered with Agrupación Fotográfica de Guadalajara (af/GU), Fotógrafos de Naturaleza Serranía Conquense (FONASECON), the Asociación Aragonesa de Fotógrafos de Naturaleza (ASAFONA), and Asociación Española de Fotógrafos de Naturaleza (AEFONA).
