This is a new service aimed to municipalities and landowners located in Molina-Alto Tajo, Serranía de Cuenca and Sierra de Albarracín areas.

Cartier for Nature is a philanthropic initiative created by the Maison Cartier to support the conservation and restoration of natural ecosystems and biodiversity. Its mission is to help conserve and restore biodiversity and healthy ecosystems for the benefit of nature and people.

The Cinereous vulture (Aegypius monachus) is the largest scavenger bird inhabiting Spain and its imposing silhouette was common in the Iberian Highlands until a century ago, when the last resident colonies disappeared as the forest masses in the territory also diminished.

Natural grazing in the Dehesa de Solanillos woodland is no longer just for horses. A herd of ten tauros has just been released in this area of the Upper Tagus (Alto Tajo), located in the village of Mazarete (Guadalajara province), which was devastated by a major wildfire in 2005. Here, these large herbivores will fulfil an important ecological function, contributing to the regeneration of the forest and increasing biodiversity.

Wildfires are part of the natural disturbances that occur in the environment, although their recurrence is a complex problem that is worsening day by day in Spain with climate change: fires are becoming more intense and have unprecedented ecological and social consequences.

Rewilding Spain Foundation is starting out a new stage after the renewal of its Board of Trustees for the next three years and the incorporation of the biologist and disseminator Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente. For the new period, main goals are the consolidation of the Iberian Highlands pioneering rewilding initiative and extending the rewilding approach other areas in Spain.
