Rewilding Spain Foundation is starting out a new stage after the renewal of its Board of Trustees for the next three years and the incorporation of the biologist and disseminator Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente. For the new period, main goals are the consolidation of the Iberian Highlands pioneering rewilding initiative and extending the rewilding approach other areas in Spain.

The Board of Trustees of Rewilding Spain has renewed its positions for the next three years, during which the foundation will focus on consolidating the work already begun within the framework of the Iberian Highlands initiative and also on exploring new rewilding opportunities in other areas of Spain.

Rewilding Spain is supporting the Sustainable Development Department of Castilla-La Mancha region in the creation and organization of NaturTajo, the Nature Observation Tourism Fair in Iberian Highlands, which is promoted by the regional government of Castilla-La Mancha and will hold its first edition next June 8 – 11 in Corduente (Guadalajara).

The Rewild Podcast channel has created, with the collaboration of Rewilding Europe, a series that covers some of the most outstanding rewilding initiatives that are being carried out in Europe.

Today, rewilding is inspiring an ever-growing number of people to support and practice nature recovery. With the theme #RewildingHope, this year’s World Rewilding Day focuses on rewilding’s beneficial impact and uplifting vision.

Rewilding Spain has joined the Sustainable Tourism Forum of the Molina-Alto Tajo region, a common space that brings together the entities involved in sustainable nature tourism in this area.

Rewilding Spain has sent a letter to the Ecological Transition and Population Challenge Minister, Teresa Ribera, asking for the Spanish Government support for the Natural Restoration Law, to be discussed by EU’s Environmental Council next December 20th.
